10/09/04 Day 69

We just watched a couple of girls set off from the PP beach in a beach canoe. It was most yoney and the appsionately chosen short skirt did not stay day! The episode ended with them both on board, the front of paddling forward the back, backwards. (back in the correct way!!)- we nearly misred breakfast having become so accustomed to the life of a beach bum. And this morning we dined with the local dewey which is, Im sure, fed up of the PP. It looked longingly at me - for coffee - I'm sure we were on the same wavelenght to suck our beach stuff down with us and set up camp on the beach for the day. I sunbathed and listened to music for about 4 hours (looking sughtly like a red tomato, or to maytto, as the Americans would say...) Then we went for a bit of wave surfingwhich was most fun (I was smoking with laughter!!) Apart from that we bought an alarm clock (after the 2 broken watches!!) used the incredibly slow internet and then yet again, another dinner consisting of slop, followed by some type of real smothered in gravy and no pudding (I want my money back!) We made pleasant conversation with 2 canadian "nannies" (we showed the ropes and told them what to expect) which ranged from the Olympics to chechen rebel horrors. Interesting. And they thought brian was hilariously funny. Say no more. Then we went and propped up the bar and worked our way through the £4 cocktail list (I think they gave me fee a bottle of rum in my water melon canacation).

The very fact that I was moved to laughter twice in that short entry, this goes a long way in emphasising my humourous qualities - if someone as completely humourlessly-dead as Heather can be taught only in two months, the nature of suffle wit then that feather belongs in the highest runks of humourists. But on a lighter note they did get me very funny, yet, like an American, they laughed at the really obvius straightforward stuff - they didn't even inland a joke (oh yes, it comes naturally to the gods). I shall go to Armenia and join the rich and famous who made their fottunes out of this depraved and intelligently stunted growth force!

Backtracking Slightly... waves were great and I fit will reassert my amazement in Heathers transformation. She is, of course, totally denies it - but I disagree unsymment on her talk of sand and rock Dinner rounded so nicely our three 'successful' tables: the bruns, the english-canadian, and the canadians. We then attacked the rep at the bar, and we had suggested the previous day, they did let you drink the excess - infact they encouraged you to drink as as you could! I was unsure what I was getting. Havina chosen the two very unimaginative 'colin (ordered) and 'Di George'. Luckily they were both top quality, if slightly strong.
